We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by doctors and students to provide medical relief in Belize, focusing on sustainability and promoting self-sufficiency through education and long-term projects. Our organization has since expanded to other parts of the world where assistance is needed.
Agape Blessings Cure and Agape Belize Cure are both registered organization names. Please report or validate any solicitation, fundraising or volunteer status by contacting us here.
In 2013, the Tao family embarked on a trip to Belize, eager to experience jungle ziplining and explore the pristine snorkeling spots scattered across the Caribbean Sea. While we had heard about Belize's breathtaking natural beauty and thrilling adventures, we did not foresee the profound impact the trip would have on us. During our stay, we fell in love with the warm-hearted and amiable spirit of the local Belizeans, forging lifelong friendships in the process. As we continued our visits to Belize, our close local friends shared with us the pressing need for medical care within their community. Motivated to make a difference, we founded Agape Belize Cure, a charitable endeavor aimed at delivering medical supplies and healthcare services to Belize. Our mission extends beyond treatment; we strive to educate and promote sustainability among our patients while providing vital support to strengthen the local healthcare system. To further our impact, we also bring students with us to inspire and empower them to drive sustainable change. This includes long-term projects such as eradicating parasites through water tank installations and teaching villagers about diabetic care and prevention. We are continually committed to self-improvement and learning, as we endeavor to better serve our global community. Our aspiration is for Agape Blessings Cure to continue transforming lives and igniting change in future generations.
We chose the word "agape" as the foundation of our organization's name because it represents universal love. We aspire to demonstrate this love and care to everyone involved in our mission, from fellow workers to patients. Everyone deserves to be shown compassion and love unconditionally.
